Trust Formation

Trusts can be set up in different legal types.
Basically, a trust is a legal binding arrangement in the form of trust agreement or trust deed, which transfers the ownership of specific property (trust’s assets) from a ‘legal person’ (the settlor) to another ‘legal person’ (the trustee) who is thereafter under an obligation to manage the trust’s assets, according to the trust agreement or trust deed, for the benefit of the beneficiaries.

A trust may also appoint a protector, who usually has certain powers over the trustee to serve as an additional protection over the trust’s assets

The appeal of trusts has a wide range of usages for individuals, families and corporate entities, either on a stand-alone or as part of a complex structure.
